To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.

This week I had a mission.

A mission to play with colors, a mission to beautify cupcakes, and a mission to play with my DSLR.

And so I did.

It was Lamb’s birthday - poor ol’ lamb. It’s a simple chocolate cupcake topped with colored cream cheese icing, and isn’t it just BEEAUUTIFUL! I spent an entire afternoon fiddling with my camera and trying to obtain the best White Balance, Exposure, Flash etc etc (all with my 50mm f1.8 prime lens!)

I’ve also made-to-order Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes with White Chocolate and those were really light and hearty to eat! My personal favorite.
